Quiet time… and calendaring up for my in person Fall classes…
Hello beauties!
I am just back from a week vacation on a small lake in the middle of Wisconsin, at an old family cottage, with all my family and many cousins, and oh my… what a delight! From cooking for a large crew, to going tubing (OMG what a blast!) to kayaking in the early morning quiet, to playing Liar’s Dice (a game that my father and his brothers always played at this cottage and which I now am addicted to!), playing music, feeding llamas, plus running down country roads early every morning, to visiting quaint towns, and photographing fields of corn and old barns, and so much more. Memories made, and revisited, downtime to nap and read, and thankfully barely an internet signal ( get off that computer!), and crossing off some bucket list things… it just went sooooo fast.
My mama turned 95 and it was so sweet to spend this time with her at our family cottage, as well as my bro and sis, and spend precious quiet time with my man, too, (as we celebrated our 37th anniversary), all the cousins and nieces and nephews, while revisiting old stories while we laugh and made new ones.
This kind of time is necessary, my friend, to step away from the normal day-to-day, to wind down and chill, to try some new things, and also not have to be anywhere or do anything. and just to be quiet. Yes, the days were full, but full of love and laughter and good food and wine, games, water sports, and reconnections. This is time to recharge, renew, review, and even get…
